Maclay has the pleasure of being privy to some of the best moments in music photography, thanks to his ability to be both photographer and friend. Preferring the ‘fly on the wall’ approach to documenting what unfolds, he’s able to capture the electric energy of live music as well as he does the quieter moments away from the stage. The long days, sore backs, late nights, no showers and lack of sleep that go with being on tour are all worth it for Maclay, because as he says, “If I didn’t have music, I wouldn’t be a photographer. I wouldn’t be here. It spurs everything for me. It ignites creativity.”

"It's just classic. Putting on a pair of Levi’s® 501’s is as classic as putting on a Led Zeppelin album.”
